After the nuclear accident at Fukushima Daichi on March 11, the used goods shop-centered collective Amateur Riot reacted with incredible speed, calling for a protest which resulted in participation of around 15,000, mostly of the younger generation. This demonstration provided the spark for all the large-scale protests that would follow all over Japan.
